KINGS AFC PLAYER PROFILES
MIDFIELDERS
|
|
Name: Scott Barber |
| DOB: 30/11/88 |
| Position: Forward or Right Midfield .... or now Goalkeeper! |
Undoubtedly one of the most improved players from last season, where he made a telling contribution in both performances and some important goals particularly in the latter stages of the campaign. A regular at training, Scotty is best utilised as a forward or a right sided midfield player. Scotty is a tenacious player who has bulked up over the summer and will be hoping to get more games under his belt this season. |

Name: Daniel Brodier |
| DOB: 19/09/87 |
| Position: Right Midfield |
Players favourite and last seasons ‘Managers Player of the Year’, Brodier, is Kings very own version of Forest Gump i.e. he runs and runs! Played in nearly every position for the team last season including in goal, Brodier is best utilised as an attacking right back/winger. Although university commitments are likely to rule Brodier out of the majority of games this season, his enthusiasm, teamwork, stamina and general all round game can only add to the team when available. |

Started last season as a striker following his time at Blue Chip, Adam adapted superbly into a new position as a holding midfield player last season and is an integral component of the Kings set-up. His presence, experience and encouragement to others have led to him being retained as club-captain, and the manager will be hoping Adam can provide the motivation on the pitch to lead the team to a promotion challenge. |

A player everyone loves to have on their team, Sacbuker is a continental style central midfield player, who is a vital cog in the Kings Wheel. The ability to play the short sharp passing that Kings are renowned, Sacbuker makes Kings tick from the middle of the park. Name: Marcus Tomlin |
| DOB: 10/01/89 |
| Position: Winger |
18 goals in 31 appearances mainly from the left flank, no it’s not John Barnes from the 80’s its Marcus Tomlin! Blessed with exceptional pace, skill, trickery, determination and an eye for goal, Marcus vastly improved his ‘team play’ last season and is one of the jewels in Minty’s crown. Knowing the determination of last season’s ‘Player of the Year’, Marcus will be hoping to improve on last season and score/create the goals to take Kings up to the next level. |

|
Name: Mike Whelan |
| DOB: 04/10/83 |
| Position:Winger |
Turning down a big money move to play in Japan last season, Mike’s form particularly in the middle to later stages of last season led to him being named the 1st runner up in the clubs ‘Player of the Year’. With the ability to play on either flank, Mike possesses the pace, trickery, balance and skill to unlock any of the leagues defences, and is a nightmare for any opposition fullback. His ability to cut across defenders result in him being one of the clubs most fouled players and has won countless penalties, whilst he also has an eye for goal weighing in with 9 goals in 23 appearances last season. His presence in the Kings team is invaluable and the clubs management will be hoping he continues his end of season momentum into the next campaign. |
