Keeper Kirby made a vital contribution to the Kings back line, particularly in the later stages of last season where he won the man of the match award in two of his seven appearances. A regular at training, Paul’s agility, handling and improved kicking aspect of his game, lead to him being an excellent all round keeper. Family commitments are likely to restrict Paul’s appearances this season, however a valuable member of the squad nevertheless.

A colossus between the sticks, Sammo is a commanding and athletic performer who alongside Paul Kirby makes up the Kings Goalkeeping unit. Like all good goalkeepers Sammo isn’t afraid of letting his defenders and the opposition know what he thinks, whilst his ability to also play centre back may also prove valuable to the team. The management will be hoping that Sammo will be available on a regular basis this season, as his presence within the team will only make Kings stronger.
