MAN OF THE MATCH MATT FORDHAM

Starting formation and lineup:

Kings travelled to Caldecote and the weather was sunny and then started to rain. Kings put out a strong team to play Caldecote this week and with Matt Fordham and Nathan Clements retuning making the team stronger. After the defeat last week against Wilstead Kings needed a better performance because rivals Blue Chip had come to watch.
 
First Half
After 1 minute of kick off Josh was bought down in the box but the ref said no (At Caldecote you don't get penalties). Kings were dominating the game with Michael Whelan returning making Caldecote defence work harder. Kings started playing better football, and then coming out with a neat finish by Josh Clements the goal came from nice one two's from Adam and Tomlin and Josh making a diagonal run and a pass though, and Josh tucking away. And then out of no where Minty shooting a powerful shot just going over. Jeff, Fordham, Wilson and Loosemore making it hard for the Caldecote defence to get through. Mark Loosemore making good progress in defence and also making decent runs down the flanks. Half time come to a closing point and Kings winning 1-0. 
 
Half time
 
Minty and Adam were putting their points across saying we need to push up more and need to make more options to create chances for Josh and Morgan. Then one of the funniest moments of the season with Scotty falling over the ball (SHE FELL OVER).     
 
Second Half 
 
Kings started playing better football, after 6 mins of the second half Adam Haywood striking a powerful shot curled into the bottom left hand side what a beauty. Kings started pushing up more and creating more chances, Kings had a free kick and Morgan stepped up to take the free kick and stuck it well but keeper saved the ball. Then Michael Whelan running down the wing passed the defence and setting up more chances but couldn't finish. Caldecote were coming forward and had a powerful shot but Dave Sansom saving it. Josh Clements and Lee Morgan being subbed off for Barber and Nathan Clements, now Kings have got fresh legs on might be able to score more goals. Kings started to trouble there keeper with shots from Nathan and Scotty. Then Kieran started warming up too come on and try and make a difference to the game. Danny Cain being positive and trying to keep to the team motivated. Then Kieran comes on for Michael Whelan to try and provide balls to the forwards. Then Nathan Clements teaming up with Scotty and then Nathan blasts a ball passed the goalkeeper to make it 3-0 to the Kings. 5 mins to go and Caldecote had no chance to get back into the game, a fine performance from KINGS AFC, can we keep it up for the race to be champion of division 3?   
 
Next week we are playing a side that are currently 11th in the league so until next time - well played KINGS. Well done everyone.
