Italian Crisis opens the door for stars to join Kings AFC

Nedved, Thuram, Vieira and Ibrahimovic - All looking for an escape root to the Kings George VI Stadium

Tonight with the news that Italian clubs Juventus, Fiorentina and Lazio have all been demoted down to Italy’s second tier as well as bans on their participation as European representatives with the confirmation that the teams have been found guilty of numerous match fixing charges, Italian football has been thrown into disarray.

But all is not lost for the players which make up these star studded teams. Infact rumours are rife that many of the players from these three big guns and the other team found guilty of lesser charges, AC Milan, are secretly pleased with the verdict as it allows them to keep alive the dream of playing for Wilson’s new team King’s AFC of Bedford.

Desperate to be part of this exciting new venture Zlatan Ibrahimovic told reporters “The buzz and chat in every World Cup dressing room was about what’s going down in Bedford – everyone wants to be a part of it”

Having played at top level international football for more then a decade, Lilian Thuram was heard confirming “My wife has already been on the internet looking for properties in and around the Clapham area.”

Having already started training, it is unlikely at this early stage Wilson will want to rock the apple cart by bringing in new faces, but will he be able to withstand the enormous bonuses said to be flying around as sweeteners to any deal.

Patrick Vieira after his disappointing World Cup final defeat at the hands of the Italian’s added “This has been one of the most disappointing nights of my life, but it would all go away if I could get a start in the King’s AFC line up.” Despite their obvious enthusiasm however, both he and Pavel Nedved are already very aware that competition for places at King’s AFC is high. Nedved added “With a number of quality central midfielders vying for a place in the heart of the King’s team I’m not sure I’d squeeze in ahead of Farmer, Sacbuker and co. – but if the gaffer thought I could do a job… well let’s just say I’ll be waiting for the call.”

Whatever the outcome – you can be sure that Wilson will have to turn his mobile off at night if he wants to get a good sleep and avoid the frantic phone calls from agents and players.
