MARK LOOSEMORE

Full Name: Mark Andrew Loosemore

Any Nicknames: Reyes, Doriiiigo, Loosepants

Favourite Football Club: Brighton & Hove Albion

Favourite Food: Omelette

Favourite Music Artist: Delirious?

1. What is the thing you like most about Kings AFC?

The red kit! No I like all the players, bit cheesy I know but the players here are great

2. What are your plans and ambitions regarding football for this year?

I'd like to get another Man of the Match Award, if I can, but I set myself a challenge every game of not letting my opposite number score so I will try to keep that up. Oh and I'd like to score for the Kings too.

3. If you could play for any football club who would it be and why?

I think everybody would choose their favourite team for this one and I'm no exception. Brighton for me.

4. What animal do you think you are most like?

Apparently I'm like a frog! maybe coz I was county champion at long jump, or maybe I just look like one.

5. Whats the gaffer like to live with?

He smells! not really that's Chris(joking) no its cool, I get a lift every time to training and games, easy. Seriously though it’s been a great help to live with the boss as he has helped develop me as a player and as a person. A great guy and full of wisdom and advice. (give me the fiver later Steve OK?)

6. You have now played in Bedfordshire football for over a year - any highlights?

Maybe when I scored a goal for my former club 'Blue Chip' we did lose 8-3 that game but it didn't stop me doing a triple back flip to celebrate! Also when my girlfriend, Sophie, has come to support me, I know she doesn't like football much and hates the cold so it really means a lot to me when she makes an appearance!

7. Who have you enjoyed playing with most this season?

Dave Sansom! An absolute legend! It really gives me confidence as a defender to have a loud keeper behind me that constantly talks and knows what he's taking about. Wicked keeper too. Of course Mr Wilson, a partnership that has continued from Blue chip days gone past. I'm enjoying working with Mr Tomlin more and more, I think we're developing an understanding of each other which I think has been effective in games more recently. I like playing with Mr Clements and Mr M Whelan too, both great players and I instinctively know where Clements is on the pitch a few balls have seen themselves switched play to Clements this season. Actually I can't think of anyone I haven't enjoyed playing with, you're all great! Seriously!

8. What are the major differences between Kings and former club Blue Chip?

Not a lot of differences; Morgan still complains, Whelan still dives and Sacbuker still turns up late. But I think the major differences (apart from the tight red kit) are the players attitudes, they're, on the whole, better and the encouragement between players even when things aren't going our way is so much better.

9. Are there any parts of your game that you would like to improve?

My attacking, I have been a little more attacking at times lately but sometimes I panic when someone approaches me and give the ball away too easily, I can defend with plenty of confidence but put me in an attacking position and I do get a little worried, not quiet sure what to do with the ball. I am getting better though and would like to improve on that to be of more use to the team.

10. Whats it like having your brother as Kings AFC's self-proclaimed biggest fan?

I feel overshadowed! Everyone asks how my brother is doing and never asks me! (sob) No, its funny, he's a crazy character and I love him dearly, it’s nice and he makes some funny comments online about the squad. He does put a bit of pressure on me to do well but that's to be expected. He tells everyone in Liverpool about this squad and I think they follow us too, so there's a shout out to everyone at LIPA, Chris, Brin, Rob, Charlie etc.

Manager’s comments:

Does this boy ever have a bad game? Does he ever miss a slide tackle? Does he ever not give everything when playing for Kings? Does he ever say anything during a game? Some time ago Mark and I met up at Church and he came along to play football with me for then club Blue Chip – since then he has moved in with me and my other two housemates and become one of my closest friends, he’s taken raw skills and brute force to become a quality football player. This guy is an absolute legend. On his profile it says “probably the best left back in the league” I’d disagree and say he is the best and I wouldn’t swap him for anyone.
