KINGS AFC 3 - 0 BLUE CHIP

Saturday 3rd February 2007

Line-up: Kirby, Phil Hatton, Fordham (Minty), Wilson, Loosemore, Tomlin, M Whelan, Haywood (c), Milner, Morgan (Cain), Huntley (Barber)

Half time score: 2-0

Goalscorers: Tomlin (2), M Whelan

Booked: None

Kings dominated this game from beginning to end, and comfortably took the three points with two headed goals from the shortest player on the pitch, winger Marcus Tomlin. Both from deep back-post free kicks from Mike Milner.

The third, which killed off any dying embers of Blue Chip hopes, came when substitute Minty fed a lovely ball through to Whelan who round the keeper and slotted home for his third of the season.

There could have been more goals for Kings, but for some good stops from their custodian. At the other end any time Blue Chip did venture forward, Kings goalkeeper Paul Kirby played so well, keeping calm and collected that there was no way past him.

Bring on the next fixture!
