"Morgan's Marauders Dominate the first Kings Friendly!"
2 Goals from the goal machine - Nathan Clements, and another master piece from Marcus "Wing Wizard" Tomlin settled the victory.
From the very first minute of the game, Morgan's team dominated proceedings. An awesome display from Morgan’s defence achieved a clean sheet for only the 2nd time in Kings history and provided the platform for victory. With Kirby performing masterfully behind the youth of Cain and the experience of Richardson, Morgan’s defence was on top for most of the game.
The first few attacks saw Marcus and Nath combine well before Nath scored a 40 yard drive. Goal of season, until Nath’s second goal, that was 45 yards out. Marcus's 30 yard over head goal sandwiched in between these was the icing on the cake for Morgan's team. Hayward's beleaguered team crumbling under the might of the A-Team!
Morgan and Skolo snuffed out the "token threat" of Mintos and Haywood and controlled the game with Nigel Ali gluing the ball to his feet. Surely you've never seen anyone with such quality ball control. Ben Whelan had his brother so closely marked, that most of us forgot he was playing and Phil "Hitman" Hatton was the Mr Dependable of the team taking the ball out of defence with ease.
There were the occasional attacks from Haywood's team, most notably, Haywood blazing over from 2 yards out with the goal mouth gaping, miss of the seasons surely?
In the second half with team mates changing positions, Dan Dwight went to centre back and showed the opposition how to defend with numerous strong headers. Nath was so wound up by this point that if he had farted he would have exploded, but was still on top form.
Tabo was using his pace up front and completed the most awesome back heel in mid air to Nath that has surely ever been seen. Marcus was terrorising the defence to the extent that at least two of Haywood's team were reduced to tears.
Towards the latter stages, the game petered out with, Nigel still having not been tackled and reports of a string attached between his foot and the ball have since been unfounded. Morgan need oxygen due to the amount of running and Scholes was next to him for morale support.
Thank you please Lee
P.S. As some of you have noticed this is a tad of a bias report, but I was asked to write this up 3 weeks after the match occurred, so any anomalies can be blamed on my quality memory.
