Welcome back to the new (well modified) and stream lined Kings AFC website...gone are the details that took so much time and effort to keep up to date and accurate but still remaining are the news and features that we love.
Our intention of course is be a little more on top of updating this time around, and we can almost hear the sighs of relief from here.
Training will be on Wednesdays 6.30pm, Bedford Park. (Avoiding the friendly fixtures) We hope to see you there, and feel free to bring along friends who might be interested in joining us for fitness, fun or competition.

New season, new formation. Minty had man flu, Wilson was on holiday in Russia leaving Stel & Morgs to run the team.
The team adapted very quickly to the new formation and dominated against a full strength Marabese Team. Clements, Morgan & Oli had shots on target in the opening stages. the formation meant that if theopposition counter attacked, both Sacbuker & Ryan could move across the pitch to cover any gaps and gave very little space for Marabese!
First goal game from a lovely run from mayes down the right flank. Dribbling past two opposition players, Mayes slipped in Clements who unleashed a left footed drive that went in at the near post. 1 - 0. Deserved Kings lead.
With roll on subs happening at regular intervals, rob & Ben came on. Ben was showing his strength as the top striker and made some opportunities for himself although could have done better. With the first pre season game ina ction though, the ability of some of the new potential signings on was apparent with Ryan showing some great touches and worked well against the aging Slackbladder.
Craddock was dominant in goal against a set piece specialist team, punching and catching when required. Footer was having an immense half and started several attacks with long throw ins and straight forward through balls. Cain & Stel were looking conformatble and Kings were shocked when the ref gave a Marabese penalty, although in retorspect the hand ball by Rob was obvious! openalty scored 1- 1.
HALF TIME
Kings started the second half on fire with Oli & Morgan linking up to create chances for Kings. Clements, with his first game as Captain was unlucky with a 50/50 with the Marabese Goalkeeper with the ref blowing the whistle with Clements about to slot into an empty net....injured keeper! However Oli who was really getting into the game played a 1 - 2 with Morgan into the Penalty area and was blatently pushed for the ref to repay the favour and award Kings a Penalty. Penalty disptahced into the back of the net 2 - 1.
Ben came back onto the pitch with Mayes and Kings continued to dominate. Shots by Hazelwood, Morgan & Ben indicated the confidence in the kings team. Ryan & Sacbuker still dominated the midfield until the latter stages where Kings began to tire.
Marabese probably had the best of the final 15 minutes although Oli was showing why he won player of the season. We moved everyone around to allow everyone an opportunity to get a good run in. The only blip on the defence was a long ball from teh Marabese left flank which evaded the Kings defence despite bouncing and the Marabese striker managed to score against Craddock who was having a fine game. 2 - 2
Having said that, we had changed the team on several occasions in the final 20 minutes as the result was less important that getting some match practise....altough you couldnt tell form the commitment.
A great performance from Kings and some impressive debuts from some of the new guys. With several first teamers still to come back, it looks positive for Kings this season.
