Past Player Profiles

Name: Nigel Ali

Position: Midfield
The nicest guy anyone will ever meet. Good player, who can still be seen training with Kings from time to time.

top >>

Name: Ross Atkins
Position: Midfielder/Striker
Played only a handful of games during the 2008/09 season.

top >>

Name: Payin Attafuah
Position: Defender
Played only a handful of games during the 2008/09 season.

top >>

Name: Pete Barras
Position: Goalkeeper
Despite Pete developing hugely as a goalkeeper in early training sessions, he made the decision that family and work commitments limited his availablility so withdrew from Kings obligation toward the end of 2006 making just one appearance in the 8-3 loss to Riseley Sports.

top >>

Name: Dan Brodier
Position: Goalkeeper/Defender/Midfielder!
Dan could play pretty much anywhere and his all action displays made him a Kings favourite in the early days... but Dan's King's career was shortlived due to him trotting off to university in Nottingham.

top >>

Name: Alex Bysouth
Position: Midfielder/Forward
Talented player who quickly moved on after making just a couple of Kings appearances.

top >>

Name: Luke Clements
Position: Defender
Luke is a warrior on the football field! But marriage, life and work seemingly prevented him playing alongside his two brothers more in the Kings side.

top >>

Name: Euan Crane
Position: Defender
Former Club Chairman and regular in the side during the 06/07 season, Crane was a strong defender who is decent in the air and can make a tackle. Has now moved to St Louis in the US to help plant a church.

top >

Name: Jeff Dyer
Position: Defender
After two excellent seasons with Kings, Jeff brought his Kings time to an abrupt end mid way through the 2008/09 season. A strong no-nonsense defender who is no living withhis family in Africa.

top >>

Kings AFC Past Player
Name: Dan Dwight
Position: Midfielder
Dan convered admirably when he played for Kings, although was more commonly seen in a pub with a guitar in his hand rather then on a football field. Dan is now residing in the USA.

top >>

Kings AFC Past Player
Name: Richie Evans
Position: Forward/Right Midfield

A decent player who added determination, grit and courage to the Kings setup, and also boasted a good goals to games ratio but never felt he fitted in and clashed with former Manager Wilson's insistance on encouragement and positive behaviour on and off the field.

top >>

Kings AFC Past Player
Name: James Farmer
Position: Central Midfield/Defender
Injury and laziness restricted the talented big man to just a handfull of appearances for Kings. Has now head over to Northern Ireland where he and his new wife Hazel are going to set up home.

top >>

Name: Matt Fordham
Position: Right Back
Former club secretary and stalwart Fordham delighted the clubs management when he elected to sign up for the club this season, but sadly made the decision to retire after a man of the match performance against Westoning Reserves. Sharp in the tackle, good in the air and superb in position, Matt was a dependable and old-fashioned fullback but could also play in the centre.

top >>

Player
Name: Paul Graham
Position: Forward

Feisty Paul is a runner by trade, but enjoyed playing a part in training in and was looking forward to putting pressure on Kings' more established midfield and forward players to get himself into the side. A nasty knee injury however brought an end to Paul's Kings career, and he intends to concentrate on his running once he returns to fitness.

top >>

Name: Paul Hatton
Position: Pretty much anywhere
Superb player who only made fleeting appearances for Kings but always made an impression on the field. Living in Norwich restricted his Kings appreances but Paul would be welcomed back with open arms any time he returns to Bedford.

top >>

Name: Phil Hatton
Position: Defender
Phil was a really good player when you could get him on the field! Sadly his persistent shin problems meant injury would prevent him making a bigger impact on the side.

top >>

Name: Adam Haywood
Position: Midfield

Adam captained the side for three seasons, and performed superbly in over 50 appearances in the centre of midfield. Strong in the tackle and dominant in the air, Haywood will be badly missed since his knee injury stopped him from signing on for the 08/09 season.

Weighing in with 20 goals and 3 man of the match performances through his career.

top >>

Name: Tendai Huntley
Position: Forward
Strong, powerful and with an awesome shot. Tendai will always be known for his incredible half way line goal in 06/07. Huntley was an impact player who really caught the eye during his short Kings stint.

top >>

Name: Jacques Lokolonga
Position: Midfield

Talented player who neever really made the impact at Kings that his falir deserved.

top >>

Name: Dan Mallia
Position: Midfield

Played only a handful of appearances at the end of the 2008/09 season

top >>

Past Player
Name: Jonny McLoughlin
Position: Midfielder
Jonny was a late addition to the Kings AFC squad after returning to Bedford for university study. A naturally fit sports student, but Jonny felt it better to concentrate on his swimming rather then football and soon drifted away from Kings training. Jonny will be best remembered for his ability to drink vodka rather then as a footballer.

top >>

Name: Mike Milner
Position: Midfield
Talented midfielder Mike, played for two years for Kings before drawing an extinguished career to an end in 2008. Family commitments made playing difficult despite his passion for the game and obvious ability and control of the ball during his 29 appearances.

Position: Defender
Young Kieran enjoyed just a couple of run outs for Kings before trying his luck in other sides around Bedford.

top >>

Name: Stephen Pouncey
Position: Defender
Pouncey made just ahandful of appearances for Kings during the 07/08 season.

top >>

Name: Gary Richardson
Position: Defender
Veteran Richardson is a ferocious competitor who was best utilised at centre back. Strong in the tackle, good in the air and with a bullet of a throw on him, Gary ended his illustrious football career playing for Kings against Potton Wanderers, his very first team as a boy.

top >>

Name: Kyle Scott
Position: Defender
Enjoyed a number of fine displays at full back, and grabbed a couple of goals but appearances were limited.

Big centre half Ali, only made a handful of appearances during the 08/09 season.

top >>
